William P. “Pete” Kohlman, 91, devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on September 14, 2021.
Pete was born September 24, 1930, the son of the late Simon P. and Marie (Tress) Kohlman. In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Nancy A. Kohlman on March 1, 2019.
Pete served in the U.S. Marine Corp. soon after graduating from Big Beaver Falls High School in 1949. He retired from the Jones & Laughlin Steel/LTV Steel Company in 1982, and subsequently, joined his son in a steel fabricating business in Midland where he was a constant support, offering his wisdom and wide knowledge in everything from construction to manufacturing.
Pete loved his family and enjoyed spending time at the family cottage playing cards. His favorite pastime was sitting on his front porch with his three favorite pets, Baby, Destiny, and Punk, talking to his neighbors, and offering treats to all the pets that walked by.
He is survived by his four loving children, Michael (Lorraine), Daniel (Kathe), Mary Anne, and James (Kelly); three grandsons, Peter James (Erin), Cody (Stephanie), and Andre (Elyse); along with two great-granddaughters, Mallory Ann and Ruby. Pete will also be missed by his brother, Elmer (Audrey), and sister, Betsy Haynam, and several nieces and nephews.
Pete will always be remembered for his charm, enthusiasm, and unbelievable ability to solve so many problems, and bring to fruition, so many projects. He will be so sadly missed by his family and friends.
Friends will be received Thursday, September 16, 2021, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A Mass Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 17, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Valley, Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Beaver.
