Richard Thomas “Dick” McRoberts, 82, of Beaver, Pa, formerly of Darlington, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 18, 2022.
He was born on May 29, 1940 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of David T. and Isabel A. McRoberts. He was in the first graduating class from Northwestern High School in 1958. He continued his education in the welding program at Community College of Beaver County and retired after 42 years from St. Joseph/Horsehead Industries. He also served in the U.S. National Guard. Dick had an incredible work ethic from a young age but also enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a car enthusiast, avid golfer, enjoyed his Christmas tree farm and loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Pittsburgh Pirates. He was always willing to assist his family with any project big or small. He enjoyed nothing better than all of the family gatherings and attending his grandchildren’s many activities. He has been a member of Enon Valley Meridian Masonic Lodge No. 411, F. & A.M. for 60 plus years, Valley of New Castle Scottish Rite 32nd Degree, and a devoted member of Syria Shriner of Pittsburgh, Beaver Valley Caravan.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Jayne Sell McRoberts; their daughter and son-in-law Colleen and Dr. Michael Gabriele of Sewickley; and five cherished grandchildren Paige, Kyra, Ethan, Roman and Arianna Gabriele.
Friends will be received on Friday, September 30, 2022, from 6pm-8pm in the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver PA 15009, where a funeral service will be conducted on Saturday October 1, 2022 at 11am. A Masonic Service will be conducted on Friday evening at 7pm. Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Advanced Hospice, especially Rody, Brittany, and Annabel, for their compassionate care given to Dick.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in Dick’s name to Meridian Lodge 411, C/O Robert Romano, 572 Oswald Street, Wampum, PA 16157, or a charity of your choice.

Testimonials

Noll Funeral Home
Thank you so very much for your kind expression of sympathy in our time of sorrow, you were there for us from beginning to end, plus more. You prepared Rocky in such a handsome and peaceful way, prior to that viewing I saw only pain and suffering. It helped remind me of peaceful and happy times. What else can a grateful heart say.

Everyone at Noll's guided us through all the details. We did not have to worry about the schedule or anything, other than to spend time with family and friends as we shared and grieved together. Mark, Alex & Staff Our family is very grateful for the caring and thoughtful way you handled Marian's viewing and service. We thought the work done by Patty on the pictures was tremendous as it brought out the essence of Marian & it was a nice tribute to her. The viewing set up and floral arranging was very nice, we thank you for kindly handling our every request. It was also supportive to know that all the visitors would receive a friendly welcome at the door even long after normal visiting hours. And we only see what’s not “behind the scenes”. It’s obvious these things are well done too. Your help with things beyond the funeral itself is also much appreciated.

It's never easy to lose a loved one but the kind and compassionate service that Mark and his team provided certainly reduced our burden. They were absolutely amazing and we didn't have to worry about a thing. They handled every last detail so that we could spend the time grieving the loss of our father and husband. The help that my mom is still receiving from them is beyond comforting to me and my brother. Words cannot express our deepest thanks and gratitude.
