Judy Hamilton, 71, of Beaver and formerly of Hookstown, passed away unexpectedly at home from a heart condition on Friday, March 25, 2022, with her family at her side. Born November 26, 1950 in Newell, WV (during the blizzard of 1950), she was the daughter of the late William and Barbara (Hart) Stewart.

She was a 1968 graduate of South Side High School and a 1972 graduate of Penn State University. She taught English and Speech at South Side High School for over 20 years. The most important part of her life was her family, and that was evident in everything she did. She especially loved being a Nana to Max and Madelyn, whom she loved with all of her heart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. (Bill) Hamilton, Jr., with whom she would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on July 1, 2022; their infant son, Eric William Hamilton; her sister, Joyce Stewart; and her mother- and father-in-law, Robert and Wanda (Hall) Hamilton.

Left to treasure her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Teresa Hamilton of Beaver; her grandchildren, Maxton Michael and Madelyn Grace Hamilton, who were the joys of her life; treasured cousins, Shirley and Larry Berger; her aunt, Helen Stewart; three sisters-in-law, Sharon Snyder, Sandra DiBacco, and Pamela Hamilton; her “adopted” daughter, Melissa Swearingen; and a host of wonderful cousins and friends who were blessed to know her.

The family would like to thank Dr. Timothy Jackson and the nursing staff in his office for the care they provided to Judy over the years.

Friends will be received at Noll Funeral Home, 333 Third Street, Beaver, on March 28, 2022 from 4pm-8pm. The funeral service will be held on March 29, 2022 at 11am at the funeral home, with The Rev. Wilmer J. Olszewski officiating. Burial will take place at Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Hookstown, PA.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s name to the Beaver Area Memorial Library.

Testimonials

Thank you so very much for your kind expression of sympathy in our time of sorrow, you were there for us from beginning to end, plus more. You prepared Rocky in such a handsome and peaceful way, prior to that viewing I saw only pain and suffering. It helped remind me of peaceful and happy times. What else can a grateful heart say.

Everyone at Noll's guided us through all the details. We did not have to worry about the schedule or anything, other than to spend time with family and friends as we shared and grieved together. Mark, Alex & Staff Our family is very grateful for the caring and thoughtful way you handled Marian's viewing and service. We thought the work done by Patty on the pictures was tremendous as it brought out the essence of Marian & it was a nice tribute to her. The viewing set up and floral arranging was very nice, we thank you for kindly handling our every request. It was also supportive to know that all the visitors would receive a friendly welcome at the door even long after normal visiting hours. And we only see what’s not “behind the scenes”. It’s obvious these things are well done too. Your help with things beyond the funeral itself is also much appreciated.

It's never easy to lose a loved one but the kind and compassionate service that Mark and his team provided certainly reduced our burden. They were absolutely amazing and we didn't have to worry about a thing. They handled every last detail so that we could spend the time grieving the loss of our father and husband. The help that my mom is still receiving from them is beyond comforting to me and my brother. Words cannot express our deepest thanks and gratitude.
