Obituaries » Jean Romaine Cook RN October 22, 1931 - May 26, 2023 Jean Romaine Cook RN, formerly of Brighton Township, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, May 26th, 2023. Born October 22, 1931 in Johnstown, a daughter of the late Robert and Rella (Link) Berg, she had been a resident of Brighton Township for 60 years. Jean was a graduate of Allegheny General Hospital School of Nursing, she worked at several hospitals, clinics, and doctor’s offices, and retired from registered nursing when her health would no longer permit it. She had a special love for missionaries of the gospel of Jesus Christ, supporting them throughout her Beside her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert D. Cook and their daughter Jean Elaine Cook. Also predeceased by two brothers, Harry and Frank Berg, and three sisters Elsie Matula, Lucy King and Janet Berg. Jean is survived by sons Kerry Cook, FL and Daniel (Brenda) Cook, Industry. Grandchildren Christopher (Jessica) Cook, O’Fallon, MO, and Sarah Cook, Beaver. In addition, she is survived by great-grandchildren Matthew, Maria and Lila Rose Cook, O’Fallon as well as several nieces, nephews and their families. Friends will be received on Thursday June 1, 2023 from 4pm-7pm in the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver, PA 15009. A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Roland Gray, at the funeral home on Friday June 2, 2023 at 11am. Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com. Privately she will be laid to rest alongside her husband in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township. The family would like to thank Dr. Maurice Prendergast, The Heritage Valley Medical Group, and Providence Care Center for their compassionate care. adult life, and was most pleased when she had the opportunity to entertain them in her home.
Jean enjoyed music, reading, and small group Bible studies, but most of all, forming lasting relationships with others.
She honored and served her Savior through her nursing career, ongoing support of missionaries, and by caring for her family.
