Helen Ann Cindrich
Born on May 23, 1926 in Midland, Helen was a daughter of the late Frank and Ethel Balaton Flaim. She was a member of the Midland High School graduating class of 1944. Helen enjoyed working with figures and was a bookkeeper into her 80’s. A stay-at-home Mom, she helped with her husband’s businesses and later in life became an employee of the state liquor stores.
A lifetime avid gardener, Helen planted hundreds of trees, bushes and plants, and could tell you about every one, including their scientific names. Her home was always full of houseplants and books about plants, fish and birds, all of which she raised at same point in her life. During the warmer months and until the age of 90, she could always be found working in her yard. In the winter, after the snow was shoveled, she chopped wood, read books and baked.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Cindrich (1974); her brother Frank (Joan) Flaim, and sister, Ethel (George) Roknich.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Sharon (Greg Stroup) Cindrich Tirpak, of Hopewell and her son, Charles Robert Cindrich of Industry. We will always cherish memories of her strength and fierce independence! A special thank you is given to Gregory Stroup, who helped with Helen’s home and care the last few years.
As per Helen’s wishes, no public arrangements were held. A private family gathering will be held at a later time.
Professional Arrangements have been entrusted to the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver,PA 15009. Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or the American Heart Association.
