Donald E. Berdine, 27, of Vanport Twp., passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 8, 2020.

Born July 7, 1993 in Brighton Twp., he was a son of Martha O. Berdine Steiner, Vanport Twp. Passionate about cooking, Donald worked as a chef at both the Kaufman Tavern, Zelienople, and the Willows, Industry. He was a member of Vanport Presbyterian Church, and loved cheering on the Steelers and mastering Playstation.

In addition to his mother Martha, he will be greatly missed by his step-father, Reynard Steiner, Vanport Twp.; step-sister, Kristen Steiner, Monaca; his bubby, Barb Wickline, Beaver; grandmother, Mary E. Berdine, Beaver; two special “grandmas”, Gram Thelma, Vanport Twp., and Gram Elena, Aliquippa; many friends; and his canine companion, Buddy Holly.

Donald was preceded in death by his son, Levi Berdine in 2015; grandfather, Edwin Berdine; and his uncle, Douglas Berdine.

Friends will be received Saturday, July 11, 2020 from 12 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m., in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Reverend Dr. Judy Angelberger will officiate. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.

You prepared Rocky in such a handsome and peaceful way, prior to that viewing I saw only pain and suffering. It helped remind me of peaceful and happy times. What else can a grateful heart say.

Mark & Alex everything done by you and your staff was outstanding. It was a difficult time for us, but you made everyone feel at ease. You never forgot anything we said or asked for. We are so glad Dad knew where he wanted to go. Once again Father Knows Best!

Mark, Alex & Staff Our family is very grateful for the caring and thoughtful way you handled Marian's viewing and service. We thought the work done by Patty on the pictures was tremendous as it brought out the essence of Marian & it was a nice tribute to her. The viewing set up and floral arranging was very nice, we thank you for kindly handling our every request. It was also supportive to know that all the visitors would receive a friendly welcome at the door even long after normal visiting hours. And we only see what’s not “behind the scenes”. It’s obvious these things are well done too. Your help with things beyond the funeral itself is also much appreciated.

It's never easy to lose a loved one but the kind and compassionate service that Mark and his team provided certainly reduced our burden. They were absolutely amazing and we didn't have to worry about a thing. They handled every last detail so that we could spend the time grieving the loss of our father and husband. The help that my mom is still receiving from them is beyond comforting to me and my brother. Words cannot express our deepest thanks and gratitude.
