Diane M. Reed, 75 of Ohioville passed away early Saturday morning, December 31, 2016 at the Brighton Rehab and Wellness Center, Brighton Twp.

Born September 15, 1941 in Beaver Falls, she was a daughter of the late

David P. and Margaret Huddy Schutte. Diane was a 1961 graduate of Sewickley Valley School of Nursing and had worked for several local doctors and facilities, finishing her nursing career at Friendship Ridge. She had attended the Hookstown Free Methodist Church. She had a love of the outdoors especially walking and gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, LeRoy E. Reed, a daughter (Margie (John) Shaw, Ohioville, a sister, Debbie Perno, West Pittsburgh, a son-in-law, Daniel Kane, Virginia Beach, and her husband’s sister, Rev. Dr. Geraldine (Rev. Dr. Barry) Burkholder, Winchester, VA.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was a daughter, Jeannie Lee Kane in 2002.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 4:00 until time of service at 7:00 pm in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc. 333 Third St, Beaver. The service will be conducted by her friend, Pastor Wilmer J. Olszewski. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com. Interment will take place later at the Beaver Cemetery.

Due to Diane’s love of animals, memorial contribution may be made if desired to the Beaver County Humane Society 3394 Brodhead Rd, Aliquippa, PA 15001.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Vitas Hospice and the Friendship Ridge 4East for the loving care given to Diane.

Thank you so very much for your kind expression of sympathy in our time of sorrow, you were there for us from beginning to end, plus more. You prepared Rocky in such a handsome and peaceful way, prior to that viewing I saw only pain and suffering. It helped remind me of peaceful and happy times. What else can a grateful heart say.

Mark & Alex everything done by you and your staff was outstanding. It was a difficult time for us, but you made everyone feel at ease. You never forgot anything we said or asked for. We are so glad Dad knew where he wanted to go. Once again Father Knows Best!

We thought the work done by Patty on the pictures was tremendous as it brought out the essence of Marian & it was a nice tribute to her. The viewing set up and floral arranging was very nice, we thank you for kindly handling our every request. It was also supportive to know that all the visitors would receive a friendly welcome at the door even long after normal visiting hours. And we only see what’s not “behind the scenes”. It’s obvious these things are well done too. Your help with things beyond the funeral itself is also much appreciated.
