Anna Marie Leary Stay
Born on August 30, 1927 in Beaver, Pennsylvania, to the late Francis Daniel and Anastasia Roach Leary. “Hunsey”, as she was known by her family and close friends, loved life, her family and her dear friends. As the dementia took hold, her one desire was to “go home” and see her husband, brothers, sisters and friends who went before her. She will always be remembered for her infectious laugh and caring spirit.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Michael J. Stay, Sr. and by her brothers Gerald, Daniel and James and her sisters, Margaret Leary New, Mary Leary Swineford and Elizabeth Nora Semes.
She is survived by daughters, Nora and Amy Stay of Monaca, PA, her son, Michael Stay, of Beaver, who was her dedicated caregiver, sister, Frances Leary Depaolis of Palatine, Illinois along with many, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received on Monday January 11, 2020 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at the NOLL FUNERAL HOME INC., 333 Third Street in Beaver, Pennsylvania. Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com.
A Mass of Celebration will be held on Tuesday January 12, 2020 at 10am at Saints Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Our Lady of the Valley Parish, 200 Third Street, Beaver Pennsylvania, by Rev. Robert J. Miller.
Private Interment to follow in Beaver Cemetery.
As per Covid-19 Guidelines, masks will be worn and social distancing will be practiced.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Our Lady of the Valley Parish, 200 Third Street, Beaver, PA 15009 or Saints Peter and Paul School, Beaver, Pennsylvania.
We would like to send out a special thanks to the wonderful staff at Gallagher Home Health especially Lori, Jocelyn, Dave and Nica who provided such loving, supportive care for our mother.
