To the family and friends of Albert Martin. You have my deepest condolences. Albert was my Uncle and a mentor in my youth. Growing older, I made a similar journey as he once did by accepting the call of duty as a member of our armed forces. It would be 30 years later, this year, as a civilian again, that I could return for more than the few days allowed on the occasional military furlough. Sadly, I found that time has taken its toll. My uncle Albert was an intensely private man, but also a kind and generous soul, who, on every occasion of our meetings, shared his personal views on life. He always spoke to me in calm, deliberate tones about ideas that decades ago were not so well understood and certainly not as accepted. Ideas such as vegetarian diets, organically grown foods, biodiversity, and meditation for the soul. I feel that I owe my good health and well-being today to the ideas he planted in my mind about eating and living a healthy lifestyle. During the early 1980s, my university years, I once remarked to Uncle Al that he reminded me of a professor. His graying hair, now carefully cropped with a purposefully trimmed chin beard and mustache, presented a visage many in academia are seen to wear. He turned his head away as if to disagree, but I caught a coy little smile and the briefest of laughs. I will miss the walks and talks we once had together. Albert, rest in peace and may God bless your soul.
To the Martin family, My sincere condolences on the passing of AJ who was my massage therapist for a long time. He had such a kind heart & soul. Just a remarkable man who enjoyed life and it\\\'\\\'s twist & turns. May God bless you all at this difficult time. You are in my thoughts & prayers. Sheila Sima
